PA State Representative Greg Scott Honors Constituent Lisa Bobyock with Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful’s Community Pride Award

April 18, 2024) PA State Representative Greg Scott, District 54, honored Lisa Bobyock with the Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful Community Pride Award for her exceptional dedication to community improvement in Norristown, PA.

Lisa Bobyock, an Environmental and Stormwater Compliance Manager for the Norristown Stormwater Authority, has been the dedicated coordinator of the Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful (KPB) local affiliate, Keep Norristown Beautiful, since its inception in 2023. Driven by a passion for community stewardship, Lisa collaborated with KPB to launch, promote, and facilitate the Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful Land Stewards program for the City of Norristown. Her ambitious goal is to see every street in Norristown adopted by local families, scout groups, civic groups, faith-based organizations, and businesses. So far, over 30 streets in Norristown have been adopted. These efforts, combined with larger cleanups organized by Bobyock in coordination with the Municipality of Norristown, not only enhance the beauty of Norristown but also foster a sense of community pride and environmental stewardship.

Upon receiving the award, Bobyock commented, “It was a welcome surprise and only possible due to the many Keep Norristown Beautiful volunteers and organizations that care about Norristown and the environment.”

The Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful Community Pride Award recognizes outstanding environmental stewardship by an individual, school, community organization or civic group that makes an outstanding commitment to litter control, recycling, or general environmental stewardship. The community Pride Award is available to elected officials to recognize those in the community working to change behaviors at the local level.
